Unbelievable! I just found out about this. No details on the cause, as of yet. Here’s what we do know…
According to reports, Pimp C was found dead this morning (Dec. 4) in a hotel room on the sunset strip in Hollywood.
TMZ.com reports that L.A. County Fire responded to a 911 call at the Mondrian Hotel, located on Sunset Strip in Hollywood.
When they entered Pimp C’s (real name: Chad Butler) sixth floor hotel room, they found the UGK member dead in his bed. He was 33.
No other details on the death are available at this time.
Pimp C’s publicist has released a preliminary statement to HHNLive.com:
“On behalf of the family of Pimp C and OGPR, it is with great regret that I must confirm that Chad Butler aka Pimp C, one half of the legendary UGK, was in fact discovered dead this morning.
Manager Rick Martin is asking that everyone please respect his family and those close to him at this time and refrain from rumors and innuendo. A formal statement will be released later this afternoon. Thank you all for understanding.”
