American Gangster Remixes: Round 2

Jay-Z: Beirut GangsterDamn, expect to see a bunch of these in the coming weeks! I’ll try to get as many of them as I can. This is the second one I’ve seen and it’s only been a day since the acapellas were released. It’s called Beirut Gangster and the remixer is currently unknown. If know who did this, let me know so I can give them proper credit. I got this link from my boy JD over at HipHopUpdate.com. I haven’t listened to this one either. If you grab it, come back and let me know what you think.

Also, to all you beatmakers/producers out there… if you are doing a remix of American Gangster, shoot me a link and I’ll put you on the site.

*Edit 12/6: I did a quick search and found the source of this remix album. The remixer’s name is Beirut! Go figure, huh? JD did a quick interview with him over at Hip Hop Update; good read. Anyway, you can go check him out here and give him props if you like the remixes. Also got an alternate download link for those of you having problems with Megaupload…

Download Beirut Gangster (Megaupload or Sendspace)

Beirut Music’s Myspace Page

*Edit 12/8: Apparently Beirut does not run the Certified Banger blogspot, as Aidan pointed out to me in the comments. Beirut has just been a featured artist. Go check out the blog anyway. And check out Beirut on his MySpace.

The link isn’t working, needs to be a re-up

Try it again. I just test it and it worked for me. Anyone else having problems?

I d/led from both the megaupload and sendspace ones, but my problem was that the zip file was asking for a password, and even Beirut’s myspace page didn’t have one of those.

So I took it upon myself to re-upload it after d/ling each song solo:

That’s strange… Thanks for the effort though Brad! I still haven’t downloaded this yet… think I’ll use your link and save myself the trouble!

No problem man. Let me know if anything is wrong with that upload. Have you heard the Cookin’ Soul Jay-Z vs Elvis? That and the Beirut are the best of the 4 I’ve heard so far.

Nah man, I’ve only heard about the two I got up hear. I’mma have to look out for that one. What’s the 4th you heard?

Yo just to let you know…you’ve got incorrect information up there. My blog (which you kindly linked to) has run features on Beirut but isn’t actually written by Beirut. I did interview him on there but it’s not his!

Thanks for setting things straight, Aidan. Sorry for the mixup. The way your post on the Beirut mixtape was written, it sounded like it actually came from him, so that’s why I assumed… Anyway, I’ll correct my post, but I’ll still keep your link up. ;)

Thanks for your efforts Beirut, you did something great right here!
