American Gangster Remixes: Rounds 17 & 18

American EndeavorI knew I spoke too soon when I said it had been a slow day. I got two more American Gangster remix albums coming at you. I’m just gonna stick them both in one post. The only thing that matter to you all are the lainks, right? I haven’t heard either one of these yet, so let me know what you think.

The first one comes from a production group out of Philly called Endeavor One Productionz. I’m not familiar with these guys, but judging by their MySpace page, they seem to be influenced by underground acts, such as MF Doom and Jedi Mind Tricks . I like the cover to this one and they call it 1/4 Rican Gangster. Catchy.

American VendettaThe next one comes from Vendetta Productions, based out of Switzerland. Man, we’re getting talent from all over the globe! Anyway, that’s all I know about these cats. There isn’t much else on their MySpace page, as it looks like they just created it the other day. This one’s called American Vendetta.

I will give to these two latest efforts is that they put out some good cover art, if nothing else. Like I said, I haven’t heard the music so I can’t speak on that. But if they go out of their way to put together an original album cover, the production has to be decent right?

After all these have come out, I think I’d like to have a poll to see what you all think the best cover art is.

Edit:  Ok, I think I may have jumped the gun on these two.  Make sure you go check out their MySpace pages to preview the tracks before you download the full thing.  Honestly, I’m not feeling either one of these.  Vendetta’s has tighter production, but it’s not hip hop.  Endeavor One?  Not really quality work.  Check ‘em out though, but be forewarned.

Geez, holmes, you’re gonna be at this for a while. Your hard drive must be screaming right now with all these remixes. I’m still iffy about downloading anything other than Von Pea’s.

LOL I know, I think I created a monster when I started posting all these. I’ve barely had time for my regular post, much less anything else! Hard drive space is cheap right now though, I got about 2 TB, so I think I’m good for now. I hope to be slowing down the posts this week though, cuz I’ll be taking off for vacation next weekend.

But there are some nice gems here. Yeah, Von Pea’s is great! You should check out the American DonutShop and American Godfather.

I took your (kevin) advice and checked both of them out on their myspace’s and though they weren’t completely horrible I won’t be downloading these. I still have to say Remix Kid is the best so far, but I liked Opera, G-Funk, Beatmaker, Beirut, Godfather, Von Pea, Donutshop and I haven’t listened to the Soulful Kitchen yet. Dang there’s alot of remixes.lol!
