Small Professor: Crooklyn GangsterYo, we got another hot remix album right here!  This one is called Crooklyn Gangster and comes from the Small Professor who hails out of Philly.

This one is a must download for the ol’ skool heads.  Small Professor definitely got that vibe.  You can hear influences of DJ Premier and Large Professor all throughout his beats.

Check his MySpace for the making of Crooklyn Gangster and he also counted down his top 10 albums of 2007, which by the way I haven’t heard from any of you all.   Share the luv; tell me what you were feelin’ this year.

Yeah, I just got the chance to hear the whole thing… this one’s HOT

Kevin – thanks for hosting/posting all the American Gangster remixes! The choices that are available are overwhelming; as such, I’ve probably listened to less than half of what’s out there. I’m kinda relying on feedback provided by others in regards to picking which ones to download, but I have to say the top 5 in your poll are rightfully there (so far).

    great blog, my man!

    peace

thanks man, ‘preciate the luv. In actuality, there are few few of these remixes that are not listenable. Is that a word? I think a lot of these remixers really turned out quality products. But yeah, you can really gage by the readers’ comments here which ones are hot.

@Kevin – I looked though the poll and noticed that you didn’t bother listing Lil’ Prophet’s remix, or the Christmas one. LOL

but yeah, most of what I’ve downloaded and listened to ranges from decent to good to dope.

some cats on OkayPlayer are givin’ Veterano props for his remix, peep:

Yeah, there were a few project that weren’t even worth putting in the poll (for obvious reasons).

Veterano’s is nice; one of the better ones. If fact, he didn’t have an album cover for his. One of the readers here on my blog (Krome) hooked him up with that cover.
