American Gangster: Best of The Remixes, Vol. II

With the overwhelming popularity of the first compilation I put together last week, there was no question that I had to put together a second volume. At the time of this writing, American Gangster: Best of The Remixes, Vol. I has had over 1,000 downloads! That’s simply amazing to me. I guess some people just didn’t want to download and listen to all the remixes. I can appreciate that; that’s why today I bring you American Gangster: Best of The Remixes, Vol. II.

I honestly believe this one is just as good, if not better than the first compilation. We had a handful of producers who were so good for the first one, that we just had to find a spot for them on the second one. We also have a few producers that I wanted so bad to fit on the first one, but there was no room left. Then we have some hot tracks that were just released since the first compilation was put together. These tracks, along with the first compilation, really are the best of the best.

Many thanks again go out to Krome, who put together an amazing album cover! Krome also designed most of the new headers you see on top of the site. If you’re looking for a graphic artist to do some work for you, hit Krome up at www.kromey.com.  I’ve been having problems lately with MegaUploa, so I had to upload to Rapidshare… hope this isn’t a problem for anyone.

Got-damn. That was quick! Very little deliberation needed to deliver the final verdict…

LOL… you know, I was sittin’ on it and I was like damn, let me just crank this out. I already had all the tracks narrowed down to about 5-10 contenders from the last compilation. Then I just had to listen to the last handful that was released the past week. I think it turned out pretty well. There were still a few hot remixes that I didn’t get to represent and I feel bad about that, but I’m stickin’ to my favs!

Hey could you put up the Vol II American gangster remixes on another sharing site? I can’t download it

19 Kevin January 29, 2008 at 5:15 pm

Yeah, I’m gonna try to get these compilations on as many different sites that I can, but it’ll have to wait about another week until I can get on a higher connection speed.

i can’t find the link to this anywhere, the ones posted require membership now. The first one was amazing, as well as the Blueprint reconstructed mix. Keep up the good work, im working on a series of paintings inspired by several music producers and your music has been my soundtrack for the last couple of days ( ill send u a link when i finish if ur interested). Let me know if u have a free link somewhere for this mix tho

21 Kevin November 22, 2009 at 8:05 am

You should be able to download this as a “Free User”… anyone else?

22 tj November 22, 2009 at 10:10 pm

naw its no good, i don’t know why its not working, all the sites are requiring membership for me. I only found a rapidshare. Hey im not trying to bug i know ur probably super busy and i want to commend u on this whole project and ur incredible patience to listen to over a hundred remix albums! lol naw and also this stuff is amazing, ive downloaded a few myself and must say im convinced that there is amazing talent out there. Dled the first mix and im thinking that the 16 bars version is quite simply a MASTERPIECE in its own context. Cinematic stuff right there. And also props for adding Native American gangster’s “Ignorant Sh*t” to this mix, im listening to this amazing album now. I could go on and on but all these guys are doing an excellent job at expressing hip hop for a purely artistic viewpoint. anyways, big props and id LOVE to get my hands on this compilation, i need something to listen to while i do these pete rock/9thwonder/ nicolay/organizednoize/dj premier paintings, so if u ever reup this album on megaupload PLEASE let me know lol. Peace and GREAT WORK kev!
