I initially hadn’t planned on finishing this sample collection next. I know there were a few others that people were more interested in hearing according to the poll a couple of weeks ago. Some of those other albums have been a little difficult, so I’m still working on them. This one, however, was half way finished after I completed The Chronic sample collection.
Doggystyle is the debut album from Snoop Dogg (then known as Snoop Doggy Dogg). Released on November 23, 1993, it was produced solely by Dr. Dre. Some could say that this album is the unofficial sequel to Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, released a year prior in 1992. The vibe of the two albums are candidly similar and they are considered the staples of Dre’s G-Funk sound.

Dope! Ill be honest i dont really read the site but i been checking back just about every week in the diggin in the crates section.. good work!
What about the earlier release of “Doggystyle” that included the song “Gz Up, Hoez Down” using the Isaac Hayes song sample?? I can’t remember the song off hand but he used it in “Santa Goes Straight To The Ghetto” & Ashanti used it on “Rain On Me”. But, were you leaving that one out intentially?? But non-the-less, goood find. Thanx!!
Nah, that wasn’t left out intentionally… I just forgot about it!
Yo, I must say you are the man! I think it’s excellent to make people aware of the originals!! I can’t thank you enough. I love music man. This is HOTT!!! Good lookin’ out.

there’s another song sampled in doggy dogg world that is not in the list…
you can hear it at about 1:24 it’s like an ascending sound from a song I’ve heard several times but I can’t find it’s title, can anyone help me ?
Hi guys,
Do someone knows who is singing the music in the begining of the video clip Snoop Dogg – Gin & Juice please!

Thanks
good work. The sample I’ve always tried to find is the music played in he background of the skit between Tha Shiznit and Lodi Dodo… the domino game skit… Domino Morfoka’s.
What’s the song… sounds like Nate Dogg vocals. Is it not a sample, just recorded as background sounds? Any ideas?
I’m Going crazy! I want the song that’s being sampled in the Interlude (domino). Please holla!
Dude, I need to know what that track is in Lodi Dodi/Domino Interlude – with Dre and Dilllinger chatting about Eazy getting Aids. “Domio Muvva F****” It has that wicked East Coast Sound and can only be heard on decent speakers.
“Doggy Dogg World” also uses Kool & The Gang “Summer Madness”
