Here’s the second sample collection compiled by Thomas… Jay-Z‘s The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse. Released on November 12, 2002, The Blueprint 2 brought about mixed reviews from listeners. Because of the name, a lot of people were expecting another Blueprint album. Some people complained that it shouldn’t have been a double album and Jay tried to rectify that by releasing The Blueprint 2.1. I honestly didn’t think this was a bad album and it’s probably in my top 5 of favorite Jay-Z albums. Production-wise, Jay stuck with heavyhitters Just Blaze, Kanye West, The Neptunes, and Timbaland for the majority of the album. Thanks for putting this set together for us Thomas!
