Ear Drum: Original Samples

I’ve been sitting on this set for awhile, trying to find the last two tracks needed to complete the compilation. Didn’t have much luck, so I figured I’d put it up in hopes that someone out there has the two missing tracks. I’ve also added the Luther sample for the “Hot Thing Remix”, but does anyone know who produced that? Thanks to JackFrosty, Goon, and Lyndon for helping make this set complete. I’ve recompiled the compilation and all tracks are now included in the download.
Talib Kweli’s Ear Drum was one of my favorite albums last year. Release on August 21, 2007, this album was (and still is) in constant rotation on my ipod without a single skipped track. Production on this album is simply amazing and yet so diverse, as we got tracks from Madlib, Pete Rock, Hi-Tek and Kanye West, among others. I think you’ll enjoy this sample set just as much as the album itself.

    • Sampled in “Everything Man”
    • Produced by Madlib

Yes! I knew someone would come through!. Thanks Jack Frosty! Now all we need is the “Say Something” sample. I do know that it was released on the “Fish That Saved Pittsburgh” soundtrack; however, that soundtrack is hard to find.

This blog, 4brothersbeats.blogspot.com/, apparently has the “fish…” soundtrack, but it requires an invitation.

Great find Goon! I looked into this site and apparently, they switch to http://fourbrothersbeats.blogspot.com, which is not private; however, I haven’t had any luck finding the fish soundtrack on their yet. Great site though! That have a lot of great soul music. Def worth checking out!

Yo, THAT’s what I’m talkin about!! Thanks Lyndon!

Lyndon thanks for the link. Kev, you should do a full post on this soundtrack, it’s too good and too rare to let it slide in the comments section. “No One Does Better” alone deserves it’s on post.
