Released on July 25, 1988, Eric B. & Rakim’s Follow The Leader did not have any major hits during its time, but it is now recognized as one of the most groundbreaking and influential hip hop albums of all time. Ten years after its release, the album was selected as one of The Source magazine’s 100 Best Rap Albums.
