Follow The Leader: Original Samples

Lucky for me, Thomas was hard at work putting some sample albums together while I was away catching a little R&R. Taking it back to the old school, this next set is classic! Released on July 25, 1988, Eric B. & Rakim’s Follow The Leader did not have any major hits during its time, but it is now recognized as one of the most groundbreaking and influential hip hop albums of all time. Ten years after its release, the album was selected as one of The Source magazine’s 100 Best Rap Albums. The diversity of samples (from jazz, rock, funk, and old school break beats) included in this collection prove that this album is a musical masterpiece.

One of my favorite hip-hop records of all time with some of the most obscure samples out there. Thanks for gathering these tunes together in one download.
