Street’s Disciple: Original Samples

Anybody tired of these sample sets yet? Yeah, I didn’t think so. We got another hot one right here, thanks to my man Thomas. Dude does not quit.

NasStreet’s Disciple, released on November 30, 2004, is a double album that I feel is highly underrated. To me, Street’s Disciple took it back to Nas’ Illmatic days in terms of overall tone. Excellent production went into this LP from L.E.S. and Salaam Remi, amongst others. Sample-wise, this is a pretty solid set. You got your classic funk, your soul, as well as old school hip hop and rock.

Thanks. I bought this when it came out, but wasn;t as impressed as I had hoped to be. In my opinion, he didn’t deliver enough outstanding tracks, and being a double album, that made it a dissapointment. Thanks for the set. The only way I’ll get tired of these sets if you upload like 1,000, and I’m up till like 3 am trying to DL them all…. I’ll just sleep off the tired, and have at it the next day.

Not the hottest Nas record. Anyway, Nas can’t wait for his new album!

You missed the intro sample which is Issac Hayes Monologue: Ike’s Rap I from the Hot Buttered Soul album.

actually they didnt, it’s already in there for getting married, but they did forget lifetime monologue by lou rawls, for the song disciple (drums, vocal interpolation “from the day you were born”)
