Chemistry: Original Samples

Man, it’s the middle of the week already? Guess we’re past due to get another sample set up! You know we’re huge Justus League fans over here and anything 9th Wonder does is gold in my opinion. But 9th and Buckshot seem to have that… what’s it called? Chemistry! Yup, this was their first effort released on June 21, 2005. I’ve been bumpin’ their latest, The Formula, lately… make sure you go cop that.

Like most 9th Wonder samples, these are really easy to listen to and make a really nice compilation. Mostly old school soul, the set mixes it up in the middle with a few hip hop tracks thanks to the vocal samples used in “Food For Thought”.

Thanks once again to Thomas for doing most of the leg work on this one. We would have posted it earlier this week, but we were trying to hold off until we could get the Eddie Kendricks track listed in the credits. Unfortunately, we couldn’t even find a place to buy the album, let alone download it. So if anyone has this track in their collection, please hook us up! Also, I’m trying a new upload service (sharebee.com). This should satisfy most of you all, since it cross-posts to ZShare, Rapidshare, Megaupload, and Badongo.

5 schmoove May 8, 2008 at 3:20 pm

I like these samples set. But I have a request: What I’m really looking for is the originals to some Mobb Deep Albums produced by Havoc. Mainly “The infamous” and “Hell on earth”. That would be sick!

6 Goon May 8, 2008 at 5:04 pm

schmoove – Thomas is already on it.

7 pan21897 May 8, 2008 at 6:29 pm

schmoove- I have “The Infamous,” but I’m still holding out to find the sample listing for 3 songs. “Hell on Earth” may be a litter tougher. Havoc’s samples are hard to track down.

8 Blaze Da Hard Luck Kid May 8, 2008 at 8:04 pm

Yeah sum of Mobb deep samples are damn near impossible to find like the survival of the fittest sample or the hell on earth sample. Good luck to whoever can find those.

9 Thomas May 8, 2008 at 10:11 pm

I’ve searched for 3 hours for those mobb deep samples. No luck. I’ll probably just give this to Kev to put on the list of sets to put up without those three.

10 schmoove May 10, 2008 at 5:18 am

Yeah, Havoc wasn’t (isn’t) using the usual soul samples. But I never expected that it is so hard to find these samples. But I’ll appreciate all the stuff you post.

Yeah, diggin’ can be frustrating at times, but it turns out to be rewarding when you find that gem. We’ll get The Infamous up soon!

15 Kinetik March 2, 2009 at 11:47 am

“Money Makes The World Go Round” has something else in it but I can’t figure it out just yet.

16 Lord Quas May 21, 2009 at 10:18 am

1 and Kinetik,

I feel the same. I don’t think it’s the sample.

17 Thomas May 21, 2009 at 11:56 am

Its probably not the correct sample. Would love to find it though.
