I Will Not Be Buying The New Jean Grae LP

After just plugging the new Jean Grae album, The Evil Jeanius, yesterday; I just found out that the album is being put out without Jean Grae’s authorization… meaning she will not be receiving any money from the album’s sales.  I don’t know exactly how all that works in the music industry, but if the artist isn’t getting the money, then I ain’t buying it.  I support the artist, not the labels.

On top of it all, it seems that Jean is trying to make her money by selling verses on Craig’s List!  I actually think that we should offer the album up here and take a collection for Ms. Grae.  Can we do that?  Yo, Jean, if you’re reading this, give us your blessing! We’ll offer the album for download here on the site and people can PayPal you their donations! I’m serious… let’s help out one of hip hop’s most talented femcees.  What do you all think?
