This Is Hip Hop fam Tokyo Cigar comes through with an all-out Wu-Tang remix project! I’ve been seeing the subliminal messages from Tokyo, saying, “The Phoenix will rise on Oct 7th.” I was like, WTF? lol… I guess this is what he was talking about. Here’s what Tokyo says about the project…
“Wu tang clan is the best to ever do it. The rhymes, swagger, ingenuity and all around funny shit they brought to the game is unmatched in terms of skill. I’ve been a die hard fan ever since I heard “method man” in 93 and I’ve been that dude that argues on their behalf intensely ( ask anyone I know ).
With this project I just wanted to have the Wu rocking over some extra grimy tracks. It’s a throwback in terms of the sound but futuristic in terms of vibe. I laced some heavy drums and dark vibes to bring out the hardness of the rhymes. THIS IS NOT AN INDUSTRY SOUNDING JOINT. Its straight lo fi and gritty. MTV cats need to fall back. This is only built for my peoples that know what a TDK tape looks like.
So grab your fat bags of skunk and white owl blunts and go get lifted, then grab a forty and a shorty and go stick it.” – Toyko Cigar

SHIT IS DOPE…….RESPECT
Also a Wu fan, the greatest of all time. Pretty dope mix, although i would’ve like to hear some of the lesser tracks, Mortal Kombat traded in for more know tracks like Triumph
Also would’ve like 3rd world and clientele kids traded in also
Since Im working on a wuTang album too, I have to say that some tracks are not worth working with – there are some bad versions out there and especially Triumph is one of them… I had it in my plans but the version was so bad that I had to exclude it from the project.. And Tokyo, I like a good challenge… I will not change a single thing about my album – I will finish the last track and send it to Kevin to put up.. lets rumble, if you’re up for it….
Big ups to my man Tok on the Wu joint.Mad eerie, son! My favs are The Show and Publicity.Keep bangin!!!!!

Yo trapperjohn i just wanted to say peace for the honest feedback. Let me build on that real quick.
I picked a lot of the songs i did to highlight the fact that eventhough the post 97 wave of wu albums did not compare to the first due to some of the beats the Wu never lost any of the rhyme skills they had.
Thanks again to everybody that checked it out i really appreciate the comments.
