It’s been a minute guys so after all the emails I’ve received in the last few weeks to come back with another Steez, here it is.
- Apparently I’m from Inglewood. You people know I’m from the greatest country in the world, Canada, and that I’m by no means a rapper. Despite my deepest desires to not be affiliated with bullshit, I’ve apparently encountered it in forms of my name: www.seandeez.com. No, that’s not my personal website, that’s who I share a name with. Granted, Sean Deez is my pen name and I had no idea this person even existed. Strong Arm Steady co-sign, I sure don’t. I’m taking suggestions for new names, so email me your suggestions because seriously, I do NOT want to be affiliated with this act. The picture is priceless though, I need to be put in that picture via Photoshop. I seriously cannot believe it though and I only found out about an hour ago, it is still sinking in. I know I’m only contributing to his cause because a few hundred people will click on that link and add hits to his piss poor site. Thanks Thomas for pretty much ruining my life.
- Saturday night clocks turned back. So, not only is it depressing that I get to miss all the sunshine during the day because 90% of my classes are in enclosed classrooms with no daylight in sight, but I get to walk out to complete darkness at 4:30 PM. Seriously, darkness depresses my day, don’t know about you guys. I’m sure people are drastically more affected than I am regarding daylight saving though. Some people it must take them a few months to get back into a timely groove, perhaps I’m just being a baby.
- www.vivalahova.com Download this mash-up as soon as possible for multiple reasons. 1) I’m a huge Coldplay fan and to see them integrated into the hip hop scene with their joints chopped up and put into the manner they were put in was beautiful. 2) It is great music and is such an easy listen. 3) Remot is on it (www.myspace.com/remotmusic) and completely rips up the blend of “What If” and “Song Cry.” It’s currently the number one ranked track on the album and even comes after the 9th Wonder joint. It really should be copped and big ups to Mick Boogie and Terry Urban for the idea of mashing up two great acts. It’s been mentioned on numerous sites, shows, magazines and it is creating a buzz similar to that of “The Grey Album.” Although, not as shocking and controversial, packs a big punch and a garden full of flavour to be delivered. Check it out and check out Kev’s post about it too.
Kept it short today. I’m sure (and hope) most people are out there voting. But please do keep in mind not to shun or abuse or criticize the vote of anyone (I’m talking about Non-Obama-ers). Americans live in a country that should contain the freedom to vote for whomever they choose. After reading a few articles over the weekend, I had no idea the morals and values of Obama and a certain current president are, in fact, not as different as I once thought. Regardless, vote, it is a privilege only a handful of the population has and by not voting, we are giving up our right to have a say in how the world should be ran and our right to complain if shit hits the fan.
