Murs: Sweet Lord To Be Released on CD

by Kevin on November 14, 2008 · 6 comments

For those of you that still like to collect physical CDs, this is excellent news! In a recent interview with HipHopDX, Murs mentioned that his third album with 9th Wonder, Sweet Lord, should be in stores by the end of the year. So if you downloaded the album over the summer and bump that ish on the regulat (like I do), make sure you support real hip hop and buy it when it comes to stores.

2008 and we hip-hoppers are excited that a rap album is coming out on CD(!). Things sure changed quickly over the last couple of years.

I will cop this to have the physical copy, but I don’t have faith in this selling well; Its been given away for free already.

hahaha, yeah it’s funny that in this digital age, I’m excited about a CD. But I can’t hold a mp3 in my hand. Something about that proof of ownership is still satisfying. The feel of ripping the plastic off the case the first time and reading the linear notes. I lost that for a while when I started going digital, but my boy Thomas brought me back.

Normally I’d buy this, but I kinda felt this one’s lukewarm, particularly compared to the first two albums
