I meant to get this up yesterday, but better later than never! Sittin’ On Chrome is Masta Ace‘s third album and probably his best known work. Sadly, it was his last before he went missing from the hip hop scene until Ace made his comeback in 2001. The samples are just as good here as they were on the previous two releases. Enjoy!

This is what I could come up with. I’m sure “Sittin’ On Chrome” sampled something. I just don’t know what. Anyone is more than welcome to help fill in the blanks on any of these sets we put out. Diggin’ ain’t easy! lol

It definitely was EZ Duz IT on Sittin On Chrome:
“He once was a dog from around the way…..so you better take it EZ…and I’m Sittin on Chrome”

Too good to be true! This is one of my most-listened-to albums of all time. Many summers from my early teens consisted of this tape bumping in my walkman. It’s great to now hear these full samples. Thanks as always.

“He was once a THUG from around the way” LOL @ “dog”

Do you know what song was sampled in Get to Know you Better by Mary J Blige 1997 Share My World album?

  • mike

We need to come out with the N.W.A Niggaz4life 1991 samples. I have all of the mp3′s I can send them to you, but I don’t know what the redisign should look like

  • http://kevinnottingham.com Kevin

We just finished up the NWA set and should have it posted within a week.

  • Dennis

Right on man! I hope that you put the aproach to danger sample on there from the Dirty Harry soundtrack! I got the Easy does it samples, but they are not all that so whatever. Me and my cousin the dj was trying to work on some Dr. Octagon (Kool Keith) samples! These sampled tracks are greater than all of the bullshit they play on the radio today. I am having a real good time with this music and everybody seems to dig it when I play it! Keep up the good work!!!!

  • Thomas

We have the samples for Eazy Duz It completed. They should be released within the next week or so. check http://www.rapcredits.com to see if we are missing anything!

Hey isnt that “once was a dog from around the way” sampled from a funkadelic/parliament song?

like eazy e (dre better yet) sampled it?
im almost 100% about this….its the start of a funkadelic song im pretty sure…..wasnt recorded for the Eazy lp and not what was samped for the ase track…..

  • http://iigunzent.com DJTommyIIGunz

It is from a Funkadelic song. Easy Re-recorded with his daughter singin “He was once a thug from around the way” and threw it on another record.
I did a song sampling the Easy E version a couple of years ago.
