How To Make a Music Video on $42

A bunch of students from the University of South Carolina got together to put together a music video for the duo Young Righchus. The concept is like none other that you’ve seen on BET. It’s simple, original, and it works! The video was done all in one take with no cuts and i hear the $42 dollars was spent on gaff tape to take down wires. Not bad!

    This was a good video really nice. I like the song and the video they should put this on bet and show this rapper and director some love.

    This vid is sick, very different and creative, this is what hip hop needs, something new. I also checked out this kids website and he has some very goog songs, mad flow, and catchy hooks. Someone needs to put him on immediately, he would be a breath of fresh air in the industry

    This video was made for $42? How is anyone going to live off of making $42!? Good for the artist, bad for the crew…

    @Edward Mendoza

    I directed the video and I agree! But we’re just college kids, trying to get noticed, so maybe one day we can all actually be paid for working and Righchus and Max can sell some songs (which by the way, you can buy at http://www.righchus.com)!

    The entire crew worked for free – they’re amazing.

    Hi Taylor, this wasn’t a critique on you; just a point I have been making with many artists that keep hitting me up for free work. I made a post about it on my blog, and I am pointing to this post on it as well:

    Let me know if I can help you promote the video, let’s get you paid for your skills homey!

    I love the concept of this video. Could of worked a little better on actual execution and aesthetics. There is definitely talent in this though!! Great Job!!
