FAN-TAS-TIC Volume 2: Original Samples

by Kevin on December 6, 2008 · 11 comments

So I figured if we covered Volume 1, we might as well put together Volume 2 as well! Fantastic, Volume 2 is actually Slum Village’s first official release. It contains a few tracks that were initially on Volume 1, but overall this is probably the better album.

Again, Dilla is a beast when it comes to flipping samples and this set right her proves it!

Edit 12/6: Thanks to Jeff for coming through again! A few of the songs here have been upgraded to better quality versions.

BuckyLove, you must be new here. We did the Madvillainy samples and Stones Throw had a hissy fit…

Did Dilla sample anything for “Thelonius”? I’m just saying no one I know, knows. I’ve been googling it and nothing comes up. Wikipedia has it all wrong.
