Tis the season…. for rhymes and breakbeats?!?! In all honesty I hate Christmas hip hop. I just can’t find myself listening to it. But this is a hip hop site, right? So what kind of hip hop site would we be if we didn’t throw one of these comps together? Actually, I can’t take credit for this one. This compilation was put together by one of our loyal readers, Lauren U. I just did up the cover and put our slap on it. major props to Lauren for finding all these hip hop gems. Aside from the classic “Christmas in Hollis” and a few others, I didn’t know most of these existed.
This comp is mostly tracks from our golden era of hip hop — my generation. There have been plenty more Christmas hip hop songs released over the years, but man are they terrible. Ludacrismas anyone? At any rate, this is definitely one for your hip hop collection. I’ll be dropping my own special Christmas compilation on the site later. Until then, break out the old Adidas and Kangols!

This right here brings back Christmas memories when I was a young buck…I can remember when I got my 1st pair of Adidas shell toes for Christmas with the phat laces, what a Christmas ..the best gift ever, til this day i’m a lil partial to wearing Adidas shell toes, lol
