Day 2 of our January Month of Samples brings us another Cormega set. Back in 2003, Cormega won “Underground Artist of the Year” and “Independent Album of the Year” at the Source Awards for this 2002 release. Getting back to basics, Cormega enlisted production from The Alchemist, Large Professor, and Hi-Tek among others. Check out what we got…

Another difficult set and another good release from Mega.
I’ve never really been a Cormega fan. Think I’ll have to check him out.
He won’t WOW you with his flow or delivery, but he paints vivid pictures with his words. He’s very believable…at least to me.
One of the most underrated. You can tell what he’s saying is authentic. All his joints were dope to me
Endangered Species on the album uses Aint No Sunshine by Tom Jones ( a la Carlton Banks Tom Jones)
Thanks Ray. I’m grabbing the song right now. I’ll have it up in the morning.
Post has been edited to include information for “Endangered Species”. Track is available.
What’s the sample to “The Legacy”? (produced by Alchemist). That’s an awesome sample. Is it hard to find?
The sample to The Legacy is “Damon Harris – I Fell In Love”.
Thanks Cameron. Somebody gave me the information, but just didn’t update this post.
