The worst album of 2007 i think you’ll find was kanye west’s. Yet to actually meet anyone who actually admits to purchasing it, and yet to actually hear anyone playin it a year on. the only thing vaguely resembling a hit on kanyes album was a trashy daft punk cover. Curtis was actually a good album, i get money = epic, still kill = icy cold, straight to the bank = summer smash. ayo tech = 3 greats come together.

The numbers werent great? No ur right. Compared to his other albums, not even close. But he still sold close to 700,000 his first week in a day and age where its a struggle to go platinum, and the album went platinum. So thats a moot point.

I liked Ayos beat alot. I liked the album. Like I said, not great, but not as bad as alot of people make it out to be. People wanted, repeat WANTED this album to suck.

I do agree about the singles being released, but some where released prior to schedule, which caused a huge thing with 50 and interscope.

I’ll give you “I Get Money” and “Follow My Lead” was dope, if only for the Robin Thicke feature. “Ayo Technology” was straight garbage… one of Timbo’s worst beats ever… and I’m a huge fan. The rest was just terrible. If the plain was to go more mainstream, Curtis failed… the number weren’t that great. The hype was horrible. I mean, who releases 4 singles to an album before it’s even released!?!? Maybe it was bad marketing, but this album failed on all counts.

You’re entitled to your opinion Preem, and I welcome it. I’d be curious if anyone else feels the same as you though.

No. It wasnt that bad. And Kev, if thats ur opinion, fine, but its a horrible one. Yes it was more of a commercial album and was aimed solely to sell but there were multiple bangers on that album. There was some atrocious stuff on there like Peep Show and Fire (whatever its called, the track produced by Dre feat. Buck and Nicole whatsherlastname) but there were also bangers like: I Get Money, Straight To The Bank, Ayo Technology, Movin On Up, My Gun Go Off, All Of Me, Follow My Lead, Ill Still Kill…I mean come on…

What was bad about it to make it the “worst album of 2007″?

And straight off the top of my head I can think of any albums I absolutely despised from 2007.

Worst album of 2007??? Thats just foolish. This album receives tons of hate for zero reason. Its easily his worst album, but its by no stretch a horrible album or close to being the worst.
