Born Again: Original Samples

by Kevin on January 13, 2009 · 1 comment

Since today we are seeing the release of the Notorious movie soundtrack, we thought it would be appropriate to release the Biggie sample sets that we have in the stash. That’s right, I said sets… plural. Last year we released Ready To Die and Life After Death with Hip-Hop Is Read. Those are really the only two Biggie albums that should matter, but we decided to hit up his posthumous releases as well.

Born Again was created with no input from Biggie himself and was mostly comprised of old and unreleased verses with new production and guest verses. It wasn’t a totally bad album, but nowhere as great as his first two releases. These sets mark Day 13 of our January Month of Samples. Enjoy!
