Vagina Diner: Original Samples

This sample set was requested by someone close to six months ago and I’ve been working on it off and on ever since. On Day 16 of our January Month of Samples we give you the samples to the 1993 debut album from Akinyele. Totally produced by Large Professor, this is some vintage hip hop right here… Large Pro at his finest. We did ok with the samples; still missing a few. Here’s what we got…

This album was so, so dope when it came out and it has stood the test of time. Large Professor put this album together magnificently from start to finish. Add in Rob Swift on the cuts…it’s a rap!!! Great post. Thanks

thanks for this kevin. it’s the wrong the don covay & the lemon blues band track. “if there’s a will there’s a way” of the same album got used here.

there are also some vocal samples that are missing:

I used to love this album – Is it not the best album title ever?? ‘Put It In My Mouth’ is a tune too.
