Wow. Thanks for that explanation Deez. I sometimes forget that we have a younger generation here who may not know so much about the good ol’ days.

B-sides were usually the best part of a 45 or 12″ record. Like Deez said, it was the other song, but a true b-side was a gem. Often times it would be another track from the album, but sometimes you would get a non-album cut or an instrumental or remix. I guess we get those now in the form of bonus tracks and leaked tracks that didn’t make the cut. But back when we didn’t have the Internet, it was a gem. Ah, the good ol’ days…..

Usually B-sides are in reference to vinyl prints. B-sides are like the other joint that isn’t a single. So you would have a song like Juicy, but the B-side (I believe) which was Unbelievable. It’s usually the other song they wanna feature but not give the spotlight too. It was usually for the harder heads you know?

B Sides were real popular back in the day, still are, just not as much. Now a B-side just refers to the “other joint.”

Okay this is a dumb question What the heck are b-sides. I keep hearing michael baisen talk about them on his show. Is he still rocking tapes? What are the b-sides and why are they so dang good ?

Excuse me I’m real new to the blog game I’m just now finding all this great music. My radio station sucks so does B.E.T
