Since the Pete Rock homage from Focus was leaked yesterday, a lot of people have been asking for the other two tracks Focus did over the last couple of months. Since we’re not rude enough to say, “use the search bar”, we have decided to put all three in one place.
The first track made it’s rounds on the Net back in January. “Homage To Premier” features Phonte, Stat Quo, and Royce da 5’9″.

In February, just in time for the anniversary of J Dilla‘s death, we got a hold of “Homage to Dilla”, featuring Slum Village, Frank Nitti, and Dilla’s brother Illa J.

The third installment has Rapper Big Pooh, Sha Stimuli, and Kurupt paying homage to Pete Rock. This one is my favorite out of the three.

Word is, Focus is planning to create a whole album’s worth of these tributes. So far they’ve been leaking a month apart and Focus has done a great job at channeling the original producer’s energy. Who would you like to hear him pay homage to next?
