We’ve been really slowing down on the sample sets lately, but like my man Thomas says, “it’s quality over quantity”.  With that said, our next set of samples focus’ on the 1991 sophomore album from 3rd Bass, Derelicts of Dialect. After we finished up the samples to The Cactus Album, it was a no brainer to hit this one up. This was actually the album that introduced me to 3rd Bass. I remember seeing the “Pop Goes The Weasel” video on MTV back in the day. Imagine my surprise when I copped the cassette to find that the rest of the album was so much better than that one song. Similar to our De La and Tribe sample sets, this one has a nice selection of funk and jazz tracks. This one here is perfect to put on this Sunday morning, while reading the paper and sipping your coffee. Enjoy!

Much thanks for this! I’ve always loved the joints that 3rd Bass used to make up their production. The ablilty to sample will likely never be this way again. I don’t believe that you’ve done it yet (could be wrong) but a set for “The Cactus Album” would be greatly appreciated!!! Keep that ish going!!!
