Ok, I’m finally putting this one out there… yeah, was this one unexpected? We’ve been working on this set since Sweet Lord dropped last summer. If you follow the site, you know we’re huge 9th Wonder fans. No really, HUGE fans… lol. Just check all the sample sets we’ve done up. Fans here of 9th Wonder’s production should really like this set, as it seems a little dustier than previous sets… yeah we like em nice and dusty!

Anyway, this set comes with a pretty big disclaimer… it’s incomplete. There are four songs on Sweet Lord that we were unable to figure out the original sample for: “Are Your Ready?”, “Give Us Free”, “Pushhhhh”, and “Love The Way”. So if anyone can fill in the blanks, help us out. But for now, here is what we have…

“This Time It’s For Real” by Choice Four

Good looking out.

Yo just for the record, this duded didn’t find any of these samples on his own. He found out about them on the-breaks.com message board.

For the record, we never said that we find all the samples out on our own. The-Breaks is one of our sources, but not the only one. The-Breaks is not always complete, nor accurate. We take the time to check album credits and other online locations, as well as listening to the sample and the song itself to verify. The biggest step is tracking down the audio for these samples and compiling them into these sets. So don’t get it twisted… a lot of hard work goes into these.

Why is my comment awaiting moderation? Is it because of the zshare links, or because of my first comment?

Nevermind, I guess you can disregard that comment as well as this one.

Yeah your comment went to spam. Don’t worry, I approved it; we got nothing to hide. I’m not sure what your point is, Soulcontrollah, or why you are so upset.

No credit is being taken from anyone, nor are we claiming to be the know all on sample digging. We aren’t even taking visitors away from the-breaks, as we offer a service that you all don’t.

Just tell me what your point is. If you would take a poll here as to whether people care where we find the samples from, you would find that no one does. If you would like me to put up a disclaimer with my sample sets that say download a nice neat set here or go and try to find them through the garbage over at the-breaks, I can do that too. The-breaks forum is such a disorganized mess, I’d rather dig through some dusty old vinyl. So, your point again?

12 soulcontrollah March 17, 2009 at 7:57 pm

I’m not mad. And you’re right you never claimed to have found any of these yourself.
I will also agree that most people probably don’t care about who finds samples first.
I don’t want you to add a disclaimer or do anything different on your blog.

My point is that these samples were originally posted on the-breaks first, that’s all.

I’m not a spokesperson or advocate for the-breaks. I’m not here to praise or defend anybody.
I just read a comment, and was trying to bring some new information to the table that people might not be aware of.
If I came off as offensive than I apologize
