My man Statik does not quit! In the past year and a half, he has put out 3 full albums (Spell My Name Right, Stick 2 Tha Script, All In A Day’s Work), hooked up a Grand Theft Auto soundtrack, and produced numerous joints for Reks, Termanology and others. Working on his third solo album, The Hangover, Statik announces that we should be hearing the first single (“The Thrill Is Gone”, featuring Talib Kweli and Styles P) real soon! The Hangover is currently scheduled for a September release.

I really hope Statik slows down just a tad though, he’s gonna end up putting out some bad material simply because a batter can’t bat .959. Even the greatest strike out or pop fly a few times…

This is my concern with Statik, but if his good material is good enough and he manages to stay above .750, he’ll be ok.
