Hopefully this week has satisfied your West Coast taste buds. Even with Kevin out of town, the team has still managed to assemble some massive sample sets, controversial top ten lists, top notch reviews, attitude introspective, and even a little surprising news regarding the Roc fam sprinkled in the mix. Was this week a success? Of course. Will it be the last? Hopefully not, because the response has been massive.
This is where you guys come in. Jot down any ideas, suggestions, favourites, dislikes, etc, and we’ll work on it for the next West Coast Week further down the road. The beauty of this site lies in its originality, a trait that the owner of the site brought with him when introducing the idea of sample sets; however, it is up to us, the KevinNottingham.com fam, to continue striving for more success; the readers are a huge part of this success.
For me, there is really nothing left to say. As for the rest of the team, we need to thank our guest contributors for delivering some heat heavily on par with our expectations. We’d like to thank anyone who spread the word about the site and hopefully you guys continue to do so. Personally, I’d like to thank my team, specifically Thomas and Fred. Thomas, who was head honcho while the big boss was out, and Fred, who is not only a resident of Cali, but a true student of the West Coast hip hop school. Of course, can’t forget Kev, who still put plenty of posts together and had a big part to play on the development of this (he allowed it, that was a big enough deal!). Be on the lookout for a possible South devoted week!

Deez wrote this not me. Hit the wrong button.
lol, I was about to say, did Deez possess Thomas for a second? cuz this is Deez’s writing style for damn sure, and Thomas is speaking in the third person lol
Fixed the article to reflect the correct author…..
This has been the best week ever ..y’all held it down…I believe it will not be the last…I know more West Coast ish will be represented here…For having a week like this shows why this site is the “Best”…Y’all can say it like Khaled…”WE THE BEST”
P.S. – Maybe it can be a week dedicated to the South and how this region has contributed to the music we love call “rap”.
FEel free to send this link to anyone who had questions about WCW
big ups
big ups to the fam for this week….the head honcho was gone and y’all ripped it. I KNOW this wont be the last time we see WEST COAST week with all this response that went on. Me personally coming from East L.A, CALIFORNIA…..much love to deez, Thomas and Freddie….and anyone else that made this possible……it was much appreciated. Much aloha
West Coast week was the shit! Thanks to y’all!
thanks for givin the left coast some shine! come visit us and do it again soon
The West Coast has all ways been called “the Left Coast” but in more recent memory its been “the Left OUT Coast”…. thanx for schoolin these yunguns on the West bein MORE than just Hyphy music… I’m supprised that a few people that u guys failed to talk about…. like Spice 1 (Murder He Wrote IS classic!), MC Eiht & Compton’s Most Wanted (Music to Drive By, come onnnnn!!!), Ant Banks, Too $hort…. Not to mention Menace II Society (the movie AND the soundtrack AAAAND the show)…. I’m from NC but I grew up on ALL that music I mentioned as well the more recognized East Coast artists like EPMD, Rakim Allah, KRS, and such…. but it was still good to see some love for our g’z and hustlaz….
I’m out this bitch

Troy,
We still have room for another WCW down the road. Keep in mind, I only through out this idea maybe about 3 weeks ago. Thomas, Kevin, Fred, and I had limited time to really put everything together. We had to call in a few favours and do what we could in that short time.
Certainly we have lots of ammo for next time.
No doubt…. and for the record… I’m really fuckin wit y’all because u guys represent REAL hiphop… not that bubblegum, kool-aid, sugar shit that’s infecting the “yoof”…. lol… Keep bangin – (c) Puff Daddy… (and Puff needs his ass whooped)
Peace
No doubt Troy.
Spread the word man. Please do
Troy – no doubt. Although I think u missed that Deez and I both had a write up about Spice 1 in our top 10 West Coast MCs list
Yeah I missed that one…. lol…I’m on that
you should do a spotlight on hip hop related restaurants lik roscoes
loved the week guys, all around good stuff!
more souls of mischief on the next one though!
