Youngest in Charge: Original Samples

specialed-wide

I didn’t think about compiling a set for Special Ed until we posted the latest D-Nice True Hip Hop story.  Watching this video reminded me of how NICE Special Ed was.  His flow, confidence on the mic, and word play had me and my friends open….plus was only 16 when this dropped.

Special Ed dropped this late 90’s classic on the strength of “I Got It Made,” “I’m the Magnificent,” and “Club Scene” with all of the production handled by Howie Tee.  We are missing some samples….specially the samples for “Club Scene”….I couldn’t figure out what club/house songs they used.  If anyone knows hit us up.

Link and info after the cut…

i have really gotten into the samples, how many of you use to buy cd’s and read the liner notes to see what song they used and then went thru your parents collections and looked for some of these songs. to find them and discover new old school is just a wonderful thing
