Ice Cube’s third solo album produced hits such as “It Was a Good Day,” “Wicked,” and “Check Yo Self” helping the album sell over 5 million copies.
The album was released seven months after the LA Roits and songs such as “We Had to Tear This Mothafucka Up” and “Who Got the Camera?” gave his listeners outside of Cali the issues/problems people were facing out West.
Good mix of hip hop, jazz, rock, funk, and R&B. Props goes to Onez for this set. Info and link after the jump.

Whew! This one is a beast!
indeed.
I wonder how much he actually was paid for the album if he had to pay for all of these samples.
so…many…samples…of…dopeness. Awesome work once again.
btw, B-Real gave Cube that lighter he’s holding. It’s dope. I want one.
hahaha how did you find that out fred?
I love this… and this came later in his career after he was somewhat established some of these look easy as hell to spot though, so he probably had to shell out some cash
A good journalist never reveals his sources. I don’t either…
Yo Big up Onez. Dude, you pulling out nothing but that exqusite shit.
Back in ‘93 when i had just started boarding school in Dublin this joint and The Chronic was my soundtrack for a long time. ( till one of my boys blessed me with with a copy of whut thee album by Redman ) A lot of cats back there loved this album ( along with Ice-T, Cypress hill and of course House of pain ) and it was usually blasting out one of the dorms if cats wer’nt banging out Nirvana or Pearl Jam.
With Clearance laws now cats would be a ble to make stuff like this in the mainstream anymore.
Good looking out on this.
nice work. “u ain’t gonna take my life” was crazy.
uuuuuuuuuu weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
this one isnt in the diggin’ in the crates page :O !
Thanks alot by the way!!
that’s not a lighter it’s a pipe & apparentlt B Real had it in the studio & Cube either asked to use it or he stole it can’t remember which story B Real told but thats the story, whether it’s true at all is another thing because the story came out when they were beefing because of Cube “stealing” hooks from Cypress Hill & Others
