You’d really be surprised at some of the stuff I get in my inbox. I’ve been prepping our weekly Inbox post all afternoon and came across this gem. This officially marks the first time a rock song has been posted on this blog, but it’s worth it for comedic value.
Maybe this video will cut down on the number of emails I get… lol Here are a couple of facts to think about before you send me some of your music…
- FACT -- I only listen to maybe 2% of the music that gets sent to me. Why? I don’t have time. I enjoy listening to Talib Kweli, Jay-Z, Little Brother, etc. in my free time too.
- FACT -- I don’t use my MySpace. About once a month I’ll log in and approve everyone who sent me friend requests. I don’t read your messages or comments.
- FACT -- About 60% of you that send me music should give up right now. Ok, that’s harsh… 55%.

Oh man, sometimes I feel the same way about all the shit I see on this and other sites (no offense). I just dont have time to listen to all the mixtapes, compilations, and singles that I want to these days, plus pick up tracks from up and comers that ive never heard of. and im just a fan here…
i like this more than the hip hop artists that add me on myspace lol
i’m on the fence yo. I love hearing new music no matter the artist. Sometimes it’s good sometimes it’s bad. but nobody should give up on their dreams. if those nerdcore cats can do shows and rock gigs anybody can make it in music.

We just don’t have time to LISTEN to everything that is sent our way. The inbox is a forum for people with dreams to get it out to 12-16k daily.
Yeah, please don’t take may comments to heart. Though mostly true (lol) I’m still gonna continue to support artists on the come up.

There isn’t enough time in the day to listen to all the stuff we get, although I do enjoy listening to new artists and hearing new sounds, how people flip certain samples, etc. And amen Kev, I like to hear my old favs too. You know how long it’s been since I’ve heard The Chronic?!?!
