Props to Soulcontrollah again for these AZ sets.  AZ’s 4th studio album was kinda of a comeback of sorts after this 3rd album 9 Lives wasn’t received well commercially or critically.  This album had some bangers such as “Fan Mail,” “Once Again,” “I’m Back,” and the Grammy nominated “The Essence” featuring Nasir Jones.

Production throughout the album was handled mostly by D/R Period, Buckwild, Chop D.I.E.S.E.L., Miller Time, and a few others.  Hit the cut for the info and link…

I bought this when it came out and loved it. Now I can’t listen to it anymore because it brings back to many memories of that summer.

I’m curious, how the boys at K.N. would rate all the AZ albums from favorite to least favorite.
I got Doe or Die (obviously) but is there another album worth adding to the collection ?

This one is worth it. The Format is pretty good. If you can find S.O.S.A. that is what 9 Lives is not. I have some hopes for Legendary dropping on June 2.

I would say cop them all, but those two above.

We can’t take credit for these AZ sets. Soulcontrollah is the man.

Dope, dope album. Got this album like 6 months ago and it’s top 3 within his discography. I’m just worried about the production for his next lp.

i bought this album the day it came out as well..i stayed bumping it..my mother kept telling me to turn that garbage off…lol..she said that about all hip hop music…and now look at me a hip hop producer….and people need to either go back to school or take the time to write a legible paragraph..damn..how hard is it to hit spell check!?
