It has been about ten years since the untimely death of Big L. When you talk about New York and rap, Big L has to be in the same sentence. Just like 2Pac and BIG, we will never truly know what level of stardom Big L would have rose to.

And to think, Big L was just about to sign the deal with Roc-A Fella when he was murdered. Check out his first LP “Lifestyles Of Da Poor And Dangerous” track number 8 “Da Graveyard” One of the first features Jay-Z ever appeared on, back when he still had the whole fast rappin style.

To me Big L was the illest..Drew u are correct ..imagine if he were alive he would be as big or bigger than Hova himself…Big L definitely brought the best out of Jay..check the Big L freestyle post from 06/04/09 (the joints with Jay)

no hip-hop death hurt me more than Big L’s. he was literally on his way to blowin up and doin big things when he was cut down senselessly. An extremely talented MC who was definitely one of the best to touch a mic. R.I.P.
