I too, am a Mary head.One thing I know is that Mary does not have to ever worry about her position in the music industry.She is highly admired and respected by pioneers in both r&b and hip hop plus she doesnt take her art for granted.Btw, it’s not an extreme amount of autotune in that song anyway.
Same thing happened to Usher. “Love In This Club” sounded like everything else out at the time and the album tanked, at least for Usher standards. I can’t understand why artists that have their own “special lane” want to cause traffic accidents by swerving in everybody else’s. I’m a Drake fan and couldn’t even wait to hear his verse I was so disappointed.

My problem with her using Autotune (its not used a lot @Mr. Street Team), but Mary has always been a trend setter and not a follower. She is someone that these new chicks looked up to .
Even with this song (hope it doesn’t make her album when it comes out) I know her CD won’t be filled with this. I got to remember this is just a single. Can’t judge the album off of one single right?

Mary’s Ghetto Fab has always been a selling point for her……people loved that about her because some could/can relate.
Plus, she’s always been hot….even when she looked a mess. LOL.

That has always been her thing, to a degree.@ Mr. Campaign,true she has always been a trend setter,and that song will probably be on her album.Sometimes u have to do sacrifice a song on a album to pull in that group of trendy people to let them see that u have more to offer than “fly by night ” music. Musiq did the same thing with that ” Radio” track,but the rest of the album was ok

Are u serious? Autotune needs to DIE ASAP. WTF was up w/ that Drake verse too? It’s like some throwaway material he prolly wrote in 5 minutes. I am a long time Mary fan, but this song seems out of character. I never woulda thought she would stoop as low as to break out the autotune. I’m already knowin’ that all these teenage girls are gonna slap this joint jus for the fact that Drizzy is on it. Tragic…
