yeah, this is a candidate to land on deez’s top 20 songs of the year, what a beast of a beat

what a tremendous line up! khrysis went in on that beat.

I am a big L.E.G.A.C.Y fan and this song is dope. My question to you is this: Khrysis is just as good at 9th wonder, if Khrysis was Lb’s DJ would he have been as big as 9th is now?

On a different note my friends and I were talking about 90′s hip hop and how good it is (I am over 30 so…) But I asked them, who came out in the 90′s that was a big artist / group that if they came out today in the 2000′s would not make it? The all just looked at me so I gave them my top five and why. If you could, please ask your readers this question.

    Top 5: (In this order)
    5. Black Moon (BCC) – Their sound was to dark and no one would know how to market them.
    4. Queen Latifah – She would be too big and the fact that she is not talking about SEX….
    3. Del La Soul – Their first albums was so off to the left that kids today would not listen.
    2. Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince – People would say they are just too corny.
    1. Public Enemy – What can’t I say about them, just reading about Bush spying on people in the USA. Reading about how MIA was denied a visa to work on her album in the US. There is no was in the 2000′s that PE world be allowed to come out without the CIA or FBI putting them a list (if they are not on a list already)
San Diego CA loves you – I am out

    Sumaku, great question.
I’ve been wrestling with this question for quite a bit. After Khrysis’ performance in the last 2 years, he’s been on fire and he certainly had 9th’s presence in the JLeague rooms to motive him to be better and better and better. With that said, I think that even though his resume probably isn’t as high profile as 9ths, its evident that Khrysis can make those underground bangers beyond belief. But what 9th has done that Khrysis hasn’t is make a commercial ready and commercial friendly beat, ie. Is She The Reason, Girls, Threat, Do The Right Thing.

I have no doubt that Khrysis is already a super-producer in his own right and in the minds of the true hip hop heads.

Track is perfect, hopefully Leg’s whole album is this good.

    @ sumaku

There’s just so many though that would be true for. One that immediately comes to mind though is Brand Nubian.

I got my Suicide Music in the mail today. UGGH.com is the ish. Sounds hot. Khrysis needs a big name co-sign. Questlove, Young Guru, Just Blaze and some others gave 9th that co-sign that lead to Jay putting him on Black Album (plus 9th did his thing) and Jay passing him on to Mary J and DC.
