Thisis50.com dropped this exclusive on time earlier tonight. I know a few people have been waiting to hear what Curtis has to put out for free. This is the free LP, War Angel, before his upcoming release, Before I Self Destruct, which still does not have a street date.

I’m a little surprised to see this posted on the site, is this nottingham approved?…….anyways, i noticed there was no “new releases” mentioned yesterday.

  • Thomas

We like 50 too. I think thee were 3 songs I didnt like. Not one of his top mixtapes thought. Guess who’s Back and God’s Plan were two of the best.

ok. ima download it just cause im curious! not a 50 fan at all.

  • http://www.georgewrightonline.com george

Wow, I can’t believe this is on this website.

  • Eric

i agree with thomas.. you didnt like NO PEACE TALKS?! that’ was crazy!

  • trapperjohnmd

Dope LP. He has to make it a banger or he’s gone. The beats knock

This shit is actually kinda cool!

I’m surprised that some people are surprised to see this on the site. I like 50. His early stuff, moreso. Get Rich or Die Tryin is a classic. Curtis sucked, so I’m interested in what he’s gonna do next.

  • Drizz

This aint as bad as I thought it would be.

  • http://kevinnottingham.com Sean Deez

50′s ear for beats may be second to none in the mainstream hip hop world quite frankly

as a producer heavy website, I don’t see why we wouldn’t post this

  • Sp

Not too bad for a free download / The beats are better than the vocals but that doesn’t matter cuz he gonna sell no matter what…

  • http://kevinnottingham.com Thomas

I think this post is a surprise to people is because 50 may be perceived as the opposite of what the site presents on a daily. Kev gives lots of love to the “little guy” and 50 has been hot/huge since late 2001-2002 and reached the top of the ‘hip hop/rap” world in 2003.

But, good music is good music regardless of who makes it. Plus, 50′s new album is one of the most heavy anticipated this year. Like Deez said why wouldn’t we post this?

  • http://kevinnottingham.com Sean Deez

Still, at one point, 50 was that “little guy”

  • http://www.thetroyblog.com verge

Never been a fan of 50. Maybe some of his old, old stuff before he was signed, I liked. But this right here is pretty dope. Like Thomas said, I think there’s only about 3 tracks I don’t like.

  • http://www.thetroyblog.com verge

And ain’t nothing wrong with posting this. Shit, I post at the T.R.O.Y. blog, which consists of angry old boom bap dinosaurs that mostly can’t stand new shit, and even I like most of this here. Don’t sleep because of the name.
I don’t know who did the beats, but its not bullshit keyboard presets, sounds more like some underground cats on the production.

  • Killer Bee

i’m a 50 Cent fan and I like this, except I can’t help but think that the mixtape is gonna be better than the album… but that doesn’t matter to me, especially since he said hes another couple of mixtapes coming as well. It’s definitely an improvement since the last we heard from him.

  • http://kevinnottingham.com Sean Deez

i’d love to see a production list
    dre produced something on here

  • ross burrell

I just love how 50 tries to sing in I’ll do anything. NOT!! The only banger on this LP is OK, produced by Dre. 50 is a sell out. There’s a reason this album is free, because no would buy it.

Considering we have all but wrote 50 completely off, I feel this album is somewhat redeeming for him. On some street sh*t it’s kinda hot. The lil commercial sounding joints are not all that hot but maybe this will help 50 get back to his niche and stop singing on every damn song! Overall it’s hot. Cream 2009 and Redrum are official!

  • kenny

this is a great lp reddrum is crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyy got this on repeat

y’all should listen 2 this. verge’s right, really good beats here (esp. talkin’ in codes, redrun & get the message). i like this chopped of guitar, sounds good.
i always wanted fif’ to RAP again, like back in the ‘guess whos back’-days and he’s rappin’ again (not in every track but) i’m lookin’ forward to his new record.

  • http://www.djvalroy.com dj valroy

what’s the odds on this mix tape being better than the forthcoming album? like i posted here before, the real hip hop albums from established artists are mix tapes, when they do the studio albums, they just think about ‘going platinum’ hence why there are so much radio/MTV friendly joints on them…..corporate hip hop aint dead yet, but its in a coma, whereas there will ALWAYS be good underground music!

  • Thomas

We did get flack for post this joint…….
