Recently, a regular on the site, Brendan AKA Crates, got the opportunity to attend NYU’s Summer Institute of Music Technology in New York City. The institute is a summer program for aspiring producers, performers, engineers, or anyone else interested in music technology. When he arrived there, he quickly bonded to one J.H.Y. Ent (a producer out of Jersey), DJ Hyflo (a DJ/producer out of Nashville), and Rhyme Progression AKA Tha HC (a producer/emcee out of Colorado). The quartet quickly formed 4Shadow Productions and got to work on an EP. The product of one week of production and one week of recording was The 12th Street EP. The 12th Street EP is five songs of four seventeen-year-old kids just making real hip-hop.
