Soundpieces Da Antidote!: Original Samples

lootpack2

The debut album from Lootpack (Madlib, Wildchild, and DJ Romes) seems to be a “classic” type album to many because of Madlib’s production, the rhymes of Wildchild, and the great features from Dilated Peoples, Medaphoar, Oh No, Defari, Tha Alkaholiks, Declaime, and others.

Our man E.J. blessed us with this set that includes at least 20 samples not included in other sets featured on the site.  I’m confident in saying that this set is probably 10-15 more samples deep.  Any additional information regarding samples….you know what to do…leave a comment.

Hit the cut for the info and link.

Why do your sample sets always have missing tracks!?!? HipHopIsRead > ____

6 onez August 19, 2009 at 1:21 pm

“long awaited” also samples GUY PEDERSON “pretexte indicafits”..props to the person who found it at the breaks
^^^
When I was searching for additional samples (EJ sent the original set and I found about 4-6 more on the breaks) the above song was listed, but other threads said it wasn’t the correct song…so I didn’t include it or listen to it.

I’ll fix the link later.

“Why do your sample sets always have missing tracks!?!? HipHopIsRead > ____”

Thanks Anon for the comment. Ivan runs a great site and does a great job with his sets. If you think HHIR>KN then I’m ok with that….Ivan is fam.

When starting a set there’s a lot that goes into it…sometimes we miss things….we all do. Sometimes we don’t want to hold up a set because of missing songs. We choose to list the missing song(s) just in cases someone comes through with those missing songs.

If the incompletness of our sets trouble you then don’t download them. Search out the information for yourself and make your own. No hard feelings.

Thanks for visiting the site.

15 Brendan AKA Crates August 19, 2009 at 8:25 pm

I thought Madlib asked you guys not to post his sample sets online? I don’t mean to attack you guys, but I was just thought he said that and I know he doesn’t like his sample sets online.

16 Eric August 19, 2009 at 8:31 pm

some of you guys need to back off with the comments. geez.. relax. they’re gonna fix it whenever they can. if they dont get to it, then go find the samples yourself. stop rushing folks! DAMN.. inconsiderate asses.

you should be honored to get them anyways. They really didnt HAVE TO POST IT ON THIS SITE!

@ skeme here is the thread for the “Long Awaited” sample.

http://www.the-breaks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=33661&hilit=lootpack%2Flong+awaited

Here is a link to the Guy song on youtube – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SlVsamZj5I

Both songs song alike. It could be either one…..tho.

20 Kevin August 19, 2009 at 9:25 pm

Thanks for that comment Eric.

Brendan, Long story short… Madlib’s people asked us to take down our Madvillainy set, which we did. When the Madlib topic came up a year later, he denied ever contacting us. So I have no problem putting this set up.

21 snd August 19, 2009 at 9:50 pm

i have the madvillany set because I dont sleep on this site!!

22 skeme August 19, 2009 at 10:07 pm

first things first..i dont think anyone got carried away asking for a new link (including me) or letting yall know that the link wasnt working..especially when the download count was increasing..so it was working for some people..i was just anxious to hear the sample for “long awaited” to see if it was either the KEITH MANSFIELD (never heard hot property) or GUY PERDERSON song (i have this song) so i can contribute if it wasnt “hot property”..so i apologize if yall took it the wrong way..
@eric..there was no need to name call cause some of these people your calling “inconsiderate asses” have to contributed to this site with either songs or some sort of info.
@thomas..i def agree that both songs sound alike..thx for the new links..i got 2 songs that are missing..how do i get them to you….PEACE

23 Thomas August 19, 2009 at 10:14 pm

@skeme no problem my man. I was stuck at work and couldn’t get a new link up. Plus megaupload has been acting up so that’s why its in 2 parts on rapidshare. Not sure what’s up with usershare. It has worked ok with some of the other things I have put on it (ie. Jay elec stuff).

Anyhoo…..when I listened to the album there are way more samples on this album, but they weren’t listed. Send the tracks via the sample set request and I’ll get them up for everyone.

24 skeme August 19, 2009 at 10:21 pm

@thomas..how do i go about sending them..never sent a song out before..its from my itunes collection..

25 Thomas August 19, 2009 at 10:27 pm

go to sharebee.com and upload it. At sharebee hit the browse button, then go into your iTunes folder that houses your music, then click on the song and hit ok. Then hit the upload button and wait. Once you get the link copy and paste to the sample request form. I’ll get it then.

26 skeme August 19, 2009 at 10:42 pm

@thomas..kool thx..i sent you both of them..hope you get them..props to EJ & THOMAS for the set…PEACE

27 TheGreatHeron August 19, 2009 at 11:01 pm

Thanks for this. Can anyone direct me to the Madvillainy set? I’m aware that it was taken down but if someone else has it upped or can send it to me I’d very much appreciate it. Thanks again.

28 Thomas August 19, 2009 at 11:04 pm

Props to Skeme for sending two new missing tracks. There are up top!

29 Eric August 19, 2009 at 11:05 pm

@skeme. the thing that bugged me was about HOW it was asked.. i have also contributed with some info on some things that has been posted. I may not have been doing it lately or for quite a while per se [and if you dont believe me, you need to go check the old archives on my comments and posts], but im much of a fan as well as anyone else.. and does it even matter about ‘who contributed to what’? all im saying is “if the link doesnt work, be patient. the fam will get to it asap.” that’s it. for those of you who took my comment wrong.. then oh well. Obviously, Kevin didnt have a problem with it.. so whatever with anyone else’s.

Plus, I wasnt “name calling”. Whose name did i specify? I said “some of you guys…” and like I said [and I will say it again], “they really didnt have to post it on this site.” So, out of respect, Skeme, dont come at me implying that I havent contributed to this site.

30 Eric August 19, 2009 at 11:06 pm

Shoutout to Thomas & Kevin! LOL. Keep up the good work! =D Ha!

31 Thomas August 19, 2009 at 11:16 pm

Everything is all good fellas. No harm no foul. We normally don’t get this many comments on sets…so again…its all good.

32 skeme August 19, 2009 at 11:17 pm

@eric..nowhere in my comment did i say ERIC you never contribute to this site..anyways just a misunderstanding..lets enjoy this wonderful set…..PEACE

33 Brendan AKA Crates August 20, 2009 at 12:50 am

@Kevin

Oh alright, that makes sense. I meant no offense, I was just confused. Sounds all good to me.
