Unkut.com has dropped two dope post (Blame Biz Markie and Sample Clear Fail) within the last week or so. The post addresses songs that never saw proper release because the artist wasn’t able to clear the sample. Many of our favorite songs have been effected by this with many of those songs being released with altered beats or being replayed. Ghostface’s Bulletproof Wallets comes to mind. BPW would have been Ghost’s third classic album if “The Sun,” “The Watch,” “Flowers” (OG), and “Goodtimes” were included on the album as intended.
One of the songs posted was this mixtape banger by Pudgee the Fat Bastard featuring Biggie and Lord Tariq. I first heard “Think Big” on Mister’s Cee’s Best of Biggie mixtape back in 95. B.I.G. and Lord Tariq shine on this joint with Pudgee playing the back on his own track.
Hit the cut for the sample that prevented this song from being “officially” released and a link to the Pudgee song.
Again, props to Unkut.com
