With Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 set for release this year, it was only right that we pay tribute to the original 2001 classic in our latest remix contest. For 14 weeks, producers from around the globe showed up a KevinNottingham.com to take a stab at remixing The Blueprint. But this isn’t just any old remix album. We stuck to the original formula by using the original samples that were used in Jay’s 2001 classic. So each track, though different from the original, still has a familar feeling.
The purpose of this remixtape is not to try and outdo the original, but to pay tribute and give it a new light. The winning remixes are compiled here in The Blueprint Reconstructed and I firmly believe that this project is just as good as the original.

Man this came out great love the artwork and the beats are just amazing this really showed me a lot even though i didn’t get on the tape it was great to be involved, this is just such a great site.
i am just a fan of the music and i just listened to the reconstructed version. all of the producers are really talented. the best thing about it was the feeling that hip hop was in the right hands… i appreciate your hard work and talents.

nice to see this project come together. wish i got a spot on it,but all the other producers definitely deserve their placement. Also the judges, Kevin, Thomas and DJ BlacqueStarr deserve a round of applause for their hard work every week. Loved the way the original samples have been flipped. im currently 6 tracks deep and 2 of them already replace the original tracks in greatness imo. shits incredible. am now gonna look for more sample based remix projects on this site!!
On a side note, great site, love the production based sections but also the enthusiasm and love that seems to penetrate through every aspect of this place.
