I just caught Friday night’s show last night (thanks to my trusty Tivo). When Jay-Z plays Madison Sqaure Garden, he plays it up big! For those in the dark, Jay perform live this past Friday night (on 9/11) at the Garden in NYC in support of his new album The Blueprint 3. All proceeds went to the families of the NYPD and FDNY who lost their lives on 09/11/01. Watching this show just reaffirms my belief in Jay as the best rapper alive and makes me wish we could do the Eleven Days all over again! My man, Steven Kim, was at the show (lucky bastard) and wrote up a full review of it here.

Fuse TV had the exclusive rights to broadcast the event live, but if you missed it, you can download the whole show after the cut, courtesy of mrworldpremiere.net. The rip here is provided in full High-Definition quality in MP4 format.

Grab this joint after the cut, before it disappears!

BTW, who was the chick singing Alicia Keys’ part in “Empire State of Mind.” That was Alicia, was it? I don’t think so, cuz she sand the hook on “Heart of the City” and sounded completely different. I wonder if she lip-synced Alicia’s part though, cuz it sounded just like Alicia.

Anyone know?

That was Alicia. Alicia came back on and sang Heart of the City too.

Not only did it look like Alicia, I’m pretty sure Jigga shouts her out. And the spotlight was on her throughout. If it was just a “nobody,” chances are they wouldn’t get the spotlight treatment like that.

Yeah, ok. Initially, I thought is WAS Alicia and was digging her new look. You can’t front on them curves… lol. But then I didn’t remember Jay shouting her out, which is why I doubted myself. Think I’m about to watch this again…

The Blueprint 3 tracks sounded great live, btw. Just got my CD in the mail yesterday along with OB4CL2 and will be bumping both hard this week.

yeah, dont get me started on how great she looked In fact, every female looked smashing that night. Santigold, who I never thought was great looking, looked unreal.

Does this rip have have those annoying visual tags MWP normally puts all over his videos?

7 Thomas September 13, 2009 at 4:09 pm

That was not Alicia Keys. It was Jay’s new r&b artist on his Roc Nation label. Let me find her name. They showed a close up of her and it was AC….hold on.

The name of the Alicia stand in is the lovely and talented Bridget Kelly, she is a new artist signed to roc nation. Expect her album next year, and also she was not lip syncing .

Dont you think guys the last song was wrong, in the way that it wasnt to much power comparing to the other songs, “encore” is a good song, but for me, isnt for an end.
