Last week we had two of the hottest, most anticipated albums released without much other competition. This week, I’m about to go broke simply because there are so many great albums dropping today! There’s definitely something for everyone to cop today, so I better not see any “none of the above” votes today!

Hit the jump for the full list and tell us what you’re coppin…

What albums are you coppin today?

whats the nottingham consensus on cudi & KRS ?? I’m a little on the fence for these 2. You guys are always on-point with reviews & recommendations.

Automatic purchases/no brainers include Nicolay, Q-Tip (even tho i got the bootleg) & Mash Out Posse……..

I’m only coppin Nicolay ..boycottin’ coppin’ the M.O.P due to the beat jackin’ fiasco.

5 Kevin September 15, 2009 at 9:28 am

Don’t boycott M.O.P…. they manned up and are working to fix the situation. If you’re a fan, cop their new album.

My personal opinion… KRS and Buckshot is dope… I’ll be coppin that. The Kid Cudi is a little trippy.. not my cup of tea. We’ll have official reviews of both albums in the coming week.

I’m broke this week. Nothing.

Oh…N.O.R.E. said on his twitter page to not buy this album. It’s not his offical album. Somebody is putting out old material. I hit him up on Twitter and told him this wasn’t his best work. He said the songs are 8yrs old. Maybe his time on Def Jam.

Kev give em a link to that joint. That conversation I had with him and what he said about the album was Sunday I believe.

krs/buckshot, q-tip, trick daddy & mop for me

12 Hood687 September 15, 2009 at 12:43 pm

Already copped the KRS/Buckshot & M.O.P. albums this morning on ITunes…I would go to the store and buy the CDs if there was any kind of a decent record store near where I lived (I MISS TOWER!!!). I’m thinking about copping the Q-Tip joint as well, but I want to hear some of it first since I’m probably the only person in existence who doesn’t have the bootleg. Would you guys that have heard it reccomend it? I’m a pretty big Q-Tip fan going back to the Tribe days and I loved The Renaissance…

13 Frowsy1 September 15, 2009 at 3:07 pm

Gonna have to be the Nicolay.
Can’t believe you didn’t include the new Shafiq Husayn (of Sa-Ra fame) though…

14 MIKE September 15, 2009 at 3:36 pm

Got that MOP joint off itunes…….just noticed the tracklist is all messed up…..had to go to wikipedia for the correct tracklist. I noticed there, they gave credit to Kil (good work for Kevin).

Anyways, just wanted to remind everyone the Melanie Fiona album is out…..at least in toronto it is (& itunes)………I haven’t heard any reviews yet……

15 Kevin September 15, 2009 at 4:35 pm

We got a review of Melanie coming later this week…

16 Deez September 15, 2009 at 5:52 pm

melanie isn’t out in the US yet

17 mike September 15, 2009 at 6:01 pm

just because I’m a lifelong fan of KRS and he’s my all time favorite emcee i’ll have to say I WILL NOT be getting the KRS/Buckshot joint. I’ve heard 3 songs and the production sounds one hundred times better than his other recent releases (thanks to black milk) but lyrically what I’ve heard is extra weak… buckshot too. So disappointing. I want to hear some more songs from the album but I just can’t see this being a good album lyrically.

Man on the Moon kinda trippy?? its probably the best debut ive heard since food & liquor!
i guess the album can be a bit dark (emo rap??) and its atmosphere somewhat reminds me of The Cool, but i find it to be the perfect companion to BP3’s bravado rap…such a good album!!!

i’d like to say im copping Shibuya today, but there hasnt been dates announced on its Oz release yet. but u can bet i’ll be lining up the day its out!!

19 CEELOS September 17, 2009 at 7:39 pm

I like man on the moon. I liked the journey cudi took me on I was zoned out thru the whole album. I fucks with anything kanye cosigns. Everybody can tell you how to do it they never did it.
