DJ Muggs announced on the Soul Assassins site that he has just finished a new album with former Non-Phixion member Ill Bill. Muggs has released three critically acclaimed collaboration albums with GZA, Sick Jacken & Planet Asia. Now, the producer preps a new release with Ill Bill which also features guest appearances from Raekwon, B-Real & Sick Jakcen. Muggs has already had a busy year with the Soul Assassins album Intermission and the recording of a new Cypress Hill album Rise Up. Check out the direct quote from Muggs after the jump.

” LAST WEEK ME AN ILL BILL GOT IN THE LAB N SMASHED OUT 12 SONGS TO GO ALONG WITH THE 5 WE ALL READY RECORDED . THE HOMIE B REAL CAME THRU AN KILLED IT ON TWO SONGS AS WELL AS SICK JACKEN AN RAEKWON…SHIT REALLY SONDS GOOD AN IM EXCITED .. DJ MUGGS is a dope producer..all 3 of his VS. series albums have been dope albums..i think we need more 1 producer/1 mc albums

Ill Bill mentioned this a few weeks ago on Youtube. Should be dope, I love the Coka Nostra song on the Soul Assassins 3 album.

had to say it. All of Muggs stuff is dope. And I agree skeme, the 1 producer 1 emcee is always a good thing.

Always look forward to D Muggs work. He is great. He said in an interview he prefers working with an artist on an entire album like this. I agree with what Skeme said about the vs. series of albums.

Nice im looking forward to that
Grandmasters was dope along with all the cypress, funkdoobiest, house of pain albums..

But i read somewhere he didnt produce the entire cypress album? Someone tell me its not true!
