Power. Passion.  Poetics.  Hip-Hop is littered with emcees that use those three words as the blueprint for their style, but in reality, the list of those that achieve it is painfully short.  Underground heroes Keith Murray and Canibus have spent the last 15 years cultivating a catalog and fan base around those words, and today, they join the ranks of Rakim, Eminem and Chuck D as some of the most provocative lyricists hip-hop has ever seen.  After selling a combined three million albums as solo acts, Canibus and Keith’s careers have finally aligned and they’ve formed a brand new group, The UNDERGODS.

Looking to once again change the face of hip-hop, “beautifullest vocabulist” Keith Murray and “lyrical sharpshooter” Canibus will drop their debut EP September 29th at iTunes on the independent Sound Records.  Available for $5.99, The UNDERGODS EP will feature 7 brand new songs, and serve as a warm-up to their highly anticipated debut album, In Gods We Trust, Crush Microphones To Dust, set to arrive in early 2010.  Serving as stylistic pioneers during the 90’s and independent inspirations for artists and fans craving their brand of hip-hop today, this project has already gotten the Internet buzzing and seeks to impact the industry hard.  Production on the EP will include Erick Sermon, The Beatminerz, Amadeus and Gordo.
