DJ Premier seems to have a strong connection with Boston area rappers, such as Reks, Term, Big Shug, Ed. O.G., etc. Reks and Preem hook up for cut off one of the top albums of 2008, Grey Hairs.

Brilliant work! I think this site is growing and hip hop is defo better off for it. It’s just a shame sales arent better for the artists we truly respect. Did anyone see Sky’s numbers? Grrr

I seen Sky’s and Ghost’s numbers. Ghost’s album is in stores…but you can’t find Sky’s anyplace. Not sure what is up with that. Duck Down has always been able to put their music in the big chains such as Best Buy. Sky only did 4600 last week. Not for lack of effort tho. He’s been promoting online, was featurned in XXL, was on that BET show that comes on late at night, etc.

Ghost only did 21000 I think. Both pretty good albums.

Yeah, i ordered Sky’s off amazon and its been gettin pushed back, same with my mate as well. It is worryingly bleak for debuting artists these days. The whole industry machine needs to be reworked before it completely fails.
