Here’s a clip of Fashawn talking about the environment he was raised in, in Fresno, California which he translates on his album on a song titled “Ecology.” The crime capitol of the US in the early 90′s, Fashawn explains what he saw growing up, not having parental figures and how he was forced to raise himself. Boy Meets World in stores this Tuesday October 20th.

I’d be surprised if he sold 20k. Still waiting on my autographed preorder… bleh.

It won’t sell good because 1. probably won’t find it in stores. 2. People don’t go to the stores to buy albums. They’ll just keep the leaked joint.

I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be in bestbuy, but still, as Thomas said nobody’s copping nowadays. I preordered mine and still haven’t received an e-mail or anything… Anyways, another large factor as to why he won’t sell much, his popularity. I didn’t know very many people talking about Fashawn before “Boy Meets World” leaked. If he didn’t have Exile’s beats backing him, most of the people wouldn’t have even given him a chance. Still, some people tend to buy albums if they believe the material is great and I’ve seen many people including “BMW” in their top fives. I guess only time will tell…

Time will about the album. The only advantage of being on a major label is the product is in the stores. I went to Best Buy for two weeks looking for Skyzoo’s album. They didn’t have it. Kinda strange because all other Duckdown releases were in the store.

I finally ordered it offline, but paying those shipping charges gets old. Plus, since I’m a fan of dudes music (and others) I con’t looking for the album, but is everyone gonna do that? I don’t know.

Plus, I think the retail version of BMW will only have 15 tracks and not the bonus joints found on the leak. I hate that…bonus tracks only on digital albums. Oh well…I’m bitchin again.

Matt you’re right. Not many people know/knew of Fashawn. I remember him from the Evidence album/video, but just got into him when I heard that mixtape. Hopefully, he’ll get some shine.

I just checked the Best Buy weekly ad and no Fashawn, Royce, or Killah Priest showing up. Another frustrated week trying to find my music. Oh….boy. The albums are in the search of the site, but not on the new releases page of the circular.
