Today is another huge day for new releases! Personally, I have been waiting for the two albums above (Royce + Fashawn). Both of these albums leaked last week and they delivered better than anticipated. After one listen, I immediately put in my preorder. Aside from these two, we also get new releases from Cormega, Camp Lo, and others today. Hit the jump for the full list and let us know what you’ll be coppin…

What albums are you coppin today?

…oh and side note. Dam-Funk? Really??? I thought 1991 gangsta shit already happened on my timeline. His beats are cool if u just really wish to re-live Quik’s old stuff. But I’m wonderin if its a joke or if dude is really serious. LOL!

Stones throw artist a joke ?

I bought Killah Priest & Fashawn. Royce & Cormega were both disappointing, could’ve been better. Camp Lo was dope, might get that eventually. Need to listen to the new Stat Quo & Paten Locke.

@ Mike… yes a joke. i.e. Funkaho circa 1998-1999 on Stones Throw.

Why be signed to an Indie and record music that you can’t get to people? I go to Best Buy (the biggest and only real one left music retailer left) in the US and NO Mega, Royce, Killah Priest, or Fashawn!!! I don’t live in a big city, but don’t live in bum f##k either. I live in the 2nd or 3rd largest city in Maryland behind Baltimore or the Mont. Co. area and I can’t find this music. Fashawn has one of the best debut albums in a long time and I can’t find it.

What’s the purpose of being on such label and the product isn’t in the stores? I know one thing…when Def Jam releases something or Interscope that ish is in the stores. I don’t like mp3/ditigal albums. The music doesn’t have meaning without seeing the artwork, credits, etc. I don’t want ish printed out on 8 1/5 x 11 paper either for me to cut out and make my own CD.

Ish is frustrating…I would order the albums online, but end up paying close to 15-20 per CD. Not everybody is online like that. There have been many times I’ve picked an album up in the stores just because of the cover and tracklist…if it looks interesting. That’s wack. I’m crying…I know, but anyhoo….

Yo, I definitely hear you Thomas. I order my shit through Amazon and shit is always on back order. I JUST got my Skyzoo and Brother Ali in the mail yesterday. This is one of the many things wrong with the music industry. Thank God for leaks and illegal downloads, so I can at least listen to the music before it gets to my doorstep. Yeah, I said it.

15 junclassicooool October 20, 2009 at 5:17 pm

I FEEL YOU too Thomas.!

U should try messin with ughh.com but that shipping do raise the price.

I think priest might be moving “Elizabeth” right off his myspace or suttin.

But again that damn shipping….

Kev keeping it 100 wit leaks and downloads too.

My latest album hit the bootlegs and I was like “eff it yo. least yall wanna hear the shit…”

MEGA! He is easily the most under-everything artist in the game.

17 skeme October 20, 2009 at 5:59 pm

good thing im only an hour away from FATBEATS (LA)..so when best buy dont have it in stock

18 Matt October 20, 2009 at 7:37 pm

Preordered my Fashawn album like 2 weeks ago… haven’t even got any notifications. Fuck. Gonna head over to bestbuy soon, hopefully I can still pick up a copy of “Street Hop”.

19 Thomas October 20, 2009 at 7:54 pm

Good luck on finding Street Hop in Best Buy Matt. I just don’t understand it.

Rae is independent, but his album was in stores. Maybe cause he with EMI for distro…I don’t know…frustrating if you ask me.

20 Thomas October 20, 2009 at 8:07 pm

I have all of the leaks, but they (Mega, Royce, Fashawn, & Priest) are worthy of my $. I wanna support the physical copies…..oh well.

21 Matt October 20, 2009 at 10:59 pm

Yup… just got home and no “Street Hop”. ‘Dunno if I’m even going to cop it now… I’m about to find it and listen. I understand that the “record labels” believe that the albums won’t sell much, but seriously, they probably shipped like 15 copies per bestbuy… that’s setting Royce up to fail. I think they should ship at least 40 copies per store but I’m just a disgruntled fan.

And, what the fuck is up with spending almost $20 for a PRE-order? Seriously… I don’t even care if it’s autographed or not, that’s absurd.

22 skeme October 22, 2009 at 10:31 pm

can someone who purchased the ROYCE cd confirm that the sound quality is good..people have been complaining that the mastering is off..by the sound of my grouprip leak that i got it doesnt sound clean..too high on the high end..thx
