Cincinnati-bred, Atlanta-based rapper Jermiside (of the Red Giants & the Lessondary) links up with Denver’s DJ Low Key (tour DJ for Tanya Morgan) for his latest project, Die Jerm Die. In Jermiside’s words, the mixtape reflects a personal moment in time and the majority was recorded as, “an exit or some kind of closure musically.” Since then, Jerm’s life and music career have been on the rise and he’s no longer looking to stop making music. The tone of Die Jerm Die captures a snapshot of those emotions and thoughts and seems even more appropriate in today’s turbulent times. The combination of Jermiside’s rapid-fire flow and introspective lyrics, an impressive variety of production and DJ Low Key’s slick mixing make Die Jerm Die a must listen mixtape. Jermiside was recently featured on two songs on Tanya Morgan’s critically acclaimed album, Brooklynati, and is set to appear on CunninLynguist’s upcoming Stange Journey Vol. 2, while DJ Low Key is best known for mixtape collaborations with top up and coming MCs like TiRon, Median & Che Grand (Ketchup, Relief In The Making & The Fixtape) and his Mixing In Action series.
