The BET Hip-Hop awards aired last night. Here is what most people are talking about….the Ciphers with DJ Premier on the 1’s and 2’s. Up first is Nicki Minaj, Buckshot, Crown Royyal, and Joe Budden. Joey is insane on this one.
Part 2 is ok and well….part 3 is the ish. Tariq is so underrated.

Funny how BET doesn’t support any of these emcees (except Nicki Minaj) yet they get them for this….. It’s not even funny how much better the 3rd one is compared to the rest. Everyone in the first 2 videos spit something completely forgettable except Budden had some good lines, then Thought & Em killed it. Mos was dope but it was his verse from Brooklyn We Go Hard freestyle.
I was so disappointed in wale’s verse

The last cipher was dope…..Em’s joint was nice, but Black Thought…whoa (c) Black Rob. Em is gonna get most of the attention tho.
Black, Mos and Em are in my top 10 (Black #2, Mos #4), and this cypher shows exactly why.

I had to look it up, I have always seen “cypher” – but both are acceptable. Ironically, apparently “cypher” is the UK spelling and “cipher” is the US spelling, but I have always lived in the US. lol

You’re correct. Tariq is so underrated. Wale is dope, but cocky and arrogant. I dont like that about emcees.
I thought KRS did a good job with his verse. Nipsey was alright.. Wale was just… Wale.
eric i do agree that wale is cocky but i do think an emcee should be cocky and really confident but thats just me
